pablosotomayor asked: I've been flicking on your flickr for about an hour now so... how do I put this: your photography - the subjects you pick, your perspective of a context - is my favourite kind of photography. A photography that congeals a silence. In a way it is minimalistic because it has no pretension of saying something or making an statement beyond the "what you see is what you get". I love it but it conflicts with my growing curiosity about who Mr. Joe Lorenzo Alimagno is. How do I solve this riddle?

The world is what we make of it. A tree is only a tree if you want it to be. I think, when I take pictures, that’s what’s on my mind. The mundane things around us - they interest me for some reason. The things that are lost and found.

Whatever I’m trying to say with these pictures - it doesn’t really matter, does it? You’re absolutely right. What you see is what you get.

And what you get, is what YOU see.

I press the shutter release with a story in my head. But what I really want to hear is yours.
