Misleading Most,

I love it when people debate about what is art and what isn’t.

I don’t think “doodling” is an art because how I define it is “mindless drawing.” If you actually put thought into what you’re drawing; if there’s meaning in what you do other than just letting your hand work itself; if you think about the three points of art which are: the work, the maker, and the audience; then, I don’t think what you’re doing is doodling.

It’s sketching, in my definition. Therefore, what you do isn’t garbage.

For me, art is only art when there’s thought behind it. And hey, if the thought behind a doodle is being able to share beauty with the people around you (aka your followers) then that’s great. I guess that makes it art, too.

My point is, and has always been, that we should stop being so “wala lang” with art. Because that makes your art so… “Wala lang.”
