On Being Single
Today I wrote some stuff down in a letter to my friend and it made me realize that no matter how lonely I get throughout the day, and no matter how much I crave for affection, I’m really better off as a single man right now.
I’ve always been too in love with the world. And especially these days, when I’m so focused on my career and getting my life in order… I don’t think I can function as part of a relationship. Like I said, whatever I do, I want to do it with every heartbeat; and if only my heart could beat twice as fast so I could do everything I wanted, then I’d be fine.
It’s tough; 22-year old guys, at least I think, shouldn’t be thinking about these things. Fuck bitches get money, right?
Well it’s either I fuck bitches, or get money right now. They seem to be mutually exclusive.
